Akshat Gupta

I am a third-year PhD student at UC Berkeley and a Student Researcher at Google, advised by Gopala Anumanchipalli and affiliated with BAIR and Berkeley Speech Group.

Currently I am actively working on the following two problems:

Some of my past research interests that I still think about from time to time:
  • Lifelong Knowledge editing [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
  • Interpretability [1, 2, 3]
  • LLMs and Poker [1, 2]
  • Generative Spoken Language Modelling [1, 2, 3, 4]
  • Personality Measurement in LLMs [1, 2, 3]
Feel free to reach out to me if you want to chat about any of my current or past interests. I also love a good conversation about AI, technology and where all of this is headed.

Blog

  • I recently wrote a blog about looking at Humans from the lens of AI, called "Un-Anthropomorphizing Humans".
    • The blog contains some of my thoughts on continual learning and the future of AI and humans. I'd love to hear thoughts about it!

  • I reviewed one of the AI generated papers by Sakana AI. If you're interest, here's the link.
